Amazon, Walmart and Etsy sellers who want an owned brand site that sends buyers to their listings.
Marketplace listings on Amazon and Walmart are limited in space, layout, and educational depth. They cannot teach an angler which fly matches a specific hatch, season, or technical river condition. The brand had no owned channel for search traffic, founder storytelling, or trust-building outside Amazon and Walmart. The website had to feel like an authentic, heritage outdoor fishing brand rather than a thin affiliate bridge, while keeping every 'Buy' click exactly one step from the marketplace listing.
We bridged marketplace optimization directly with bespoke web engineering. The same specialist who writes and optimizes the Amazon and Walmart listings engineered the brand website that feeds them. By aligning product titles, macro photography, technical bullet points, and specification matrices across channels, we built an angler-first digital catalog with an interactive hatch chart, deep pattern guides, and frictionless dual-channel marketplace buy buttons.
Engineered a custom, high-speed WordPress theme backed by LiteSpeed Cache and rich Product/BreadcrumbList JSON-LD structured data. Implemented custom taxonomy filtering (what the fly imitates, water type, target species), deep pattern spec pages with real fishing notes, founder brand story & journal engine, and dual buy buttons routing shoppers to matching Amazon and Walmart listings.
Tailwater Supply Co. is a US-based fly-fishing brand selling around 35 hand-tied trout fly patterns designed specifically for technical tailwaters, spring creeks, and freestone rivers across North America.
Its sales happen on Amazon and Walmart, not on its own checkout. The brand needed a home of its own: a place that tells the founder’s story, educates anglers on which fly to use and when, and sends ready buyers straight to the marketplace listings.
Traditional e-commerce filters rely on generic price and color tags. For technical fly-fishing, anglers select gear based on ecological cues and river conditions. We engineered a custom taxonomy allowing customers to filter patterns by:
An interactive, month-by-month guide on the homepage linking seasonal aquatic hatches to the exact flies that match them. Anglers can see what is emerging right now on their local water and navigate immediately to the pattern.
Each of the ~35 hand-tied patterns features granular specifications:
Every product sends the shopper to the matching Amazon or Walmart listing in a single click, eliminating shopping cart friction while preserving marketplace sales momentum.
Founder story highlighting decades on the river, paired with an SEO-optimised content engine answering real angler search queries (“How to fish midges in winter”, “Tungsten vs brass beads”) to rank organically.
Product and BreadcrumbList schema for Google search snippetsThis project joins the two core strengths 3s-Soft delivers: marketplace listing work and custom web development.
Because the same person who writes and optimizes the Amazon and Walmart listings built the brand site that feeds them, product names, photos, bullet points, and site copy stay completely consistent across all channels.
